Obituary for George A. Perry Jr.

George A. Perry, Jr. of Canton, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 3, 2017. George was born January 5, 1930 to the late George A. Perry, Sr. and Ella (Magnuson) Perry. George graduated from Hall High School in West Hartford, Class of 1948. He spent his early childhood in West Hartford and later moved to Canton. George was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Perry retired from the Aetna Insurance Company after 40 years of working in the Bond Underwriting Dept. George was a member of the Canton Baptist Church and had enjoyed reading and fishing.

George leaves to remember his legacy of love, to his devoted longtime companion of 27 years, Nannie Mae Robinson of Hartford. He also leaves two nieces, Pat Singer of Orono, ME and Joan Bristol Finney of Greensboro, NC; two nephews, Charles Pierce of Virginia Beach, VA and Ken Bristol of Bangor, ME; two great nephews, a great niece and many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by his two sisters, Phyllis Perry Bristol and
Dorothy Perry Pierce.

A celebration of his life will be held TODAY, Thursday March 9th at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton, with visitation starting at 10:00 AM and funeral service at 11:00 AM.
