Obituary for Jeanne Hinman

Jeanne Hinman passed away peacefully, Wednesday, March 8, 2017 after a brief illness. A longtime resident of Canton and in later years, Highland Lake, was born November 24, 1931 to Peter and Edna Bonesio of Avon. In 1974, Jeanne, along with her husband Dana, deceased, founded Riverside Nursery in Collinsville. She leaves behind her son Tom and his wife Cathy; two grandchildren, Jenna Brescia and her husband John, and Dana and her great grandchildren, Blake, Brody, Lucas, Miles and Madeleine.
Jeanne was known and beloved by many as Mom, Auntie Jeannie, Nanny and Grandma Jeanne, and as a true friend to so many others. Her home was open to all and was full of love and laughter. She was a lifelong Red Sox fan and member of the Red Sox Nation. She was an active member of her community and avid volunteer who loved to give her time and energy to many organizations. She wore her “Red Hat” to every boat parade, fire engine parade, wine tasting, 4th of July celebration and white goddess party. She was the life of every party and will be deeply missed.
Jeanne’s family will receive friends at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton on Wednesday, March 15th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A private burial service will be held later this year. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Please visit Jeanne’s “Book of Memories” at www.vincentfuneralhome.com for online condolences.
