Michael David Shaskus, 53, of Bristol, died Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Bristol Hospital. He was born June 3, 1963 in Hartford, son of the late Charles Joseph and Claire (Powers) Shaskus. He enjoyed carpentry and cooking for his entire family. Michael was kind, humble and compassionate. He greeted you with a warm smile and his goodbyes always ended in God Bless. May all the blessings Mike bestowed on others return to embrace him on his journey to heaven.
He is survived by his three brothers, Joseph C. Shaskus of East Hartford, Charles A. Shaskus and his wife Anna of Williamsburg, OH and Anthony F. Shaskus and his wife Lucy of Bloomfield; his sister-in-law, Julie Collins and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, John and James Shaskus; his sisters, Mary Ellen Zilinskus, Martha Koscinski and her husband John , and his sister-in-law Maria Kuczynski.
Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury on Monday, March 27th from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 AM at St. Bernard’s Church in Tariffville.
