Alice C. (Olson) Anderson, 104, of Avon, wife of the late Arnold E. Anderson, died Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Avon Health Center. She was born October 19, 1912 in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Olaf Valdemer and Emma Marie (Lindquist) Olson and had lived in Avon since 1968. Alice was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Avon and had started the Avon Senior Citizens with her husband many years ago. She is survived by her son, Glenn A. Anderson and his wife Angela of Brunswick, ME; two grandchildren, Leslie Poe and Pamala Murray and her great grandchildren, William and Theodore Murray. There are no calling hours. Funeral Service will be celebrated at 9:30 AM on Thursday, June 15th at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Avon. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in West Haven. The Vincent Funeral Home of Canton is caring for the arrangements.
