Obituary for Lawrence Vernon

Lawrence  Vernon
Lawrence P. Vernon, 73, of Collinsville, beloved husband of Loretta (LaPointe) Vernon, died Monday, July 24, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born September 21, 1943 in Hartford, son of the late Vincent and Mary (Grant) Vernon and had lived in the area all of his life. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Vernon was a Co-Owner of Truss Manufacturing in Newington for many years. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Collinsville and the Masonic Village Lodge #29 in Collinsville. Larry enjoyed boating with his wife and friends and working around his yard.

In addition to his loving wife of 48 years, he is survived by his sister, Ruth Siwy and her husband Chris; his brother, Peter Vernon and his wife Camilla and his nieces and nephews, Jeffrey Siwy, Heather Colebrook and Andrew and Amanda Vernon.

There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 5th, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 55 River Road in Collinsville.
