Eleanor (Wojtusik) Guarnieri, 91, of Avon, wife of the late Emilio M. Guarnieri, died Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Apple Rehab in Avon. She was born November 29, 1925 in New Britain, daughter of the late John and Helen (Jaksina) Wojtusik and had lived Avon for many years. Eleanor received her nursing degree from Meriden Hospital School of Nursing and was a Registered Nurse for Brightview Convalescent home in Avon for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Church of Saint Ann in Avon and had enjoyed golfing, knitting, and baking desserts for family and friends.

She is survived by her two daughters, Ellen Storey and her husband William of Weatogue, Connecticut, and Lynne Michaud and her husband Andrew Popieunik of Bryant Pond, Maine, her grandchildren, Katelyn and Jill Storey, Christopher Michaud and Kelly McGettigan Michaud and her sister Dorothy Wojtusik. She was predeceased by two sisters, Jean and Lilly Wojtusik and her brothers, Edward and John Wojtusik.

There are no calling hours. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday, August 26th, at the Church of Saint Ann, 289 Arch Road in Avon. Burial will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery in Avon. The Vincent Funeral Home of Canton is caring for the arrangements.
