Obituary for Charles J. Kozlak Jr.

Charles J. Kozlak Jr.
With our deepest sorrow, the family of Charlie Kozlak wishes to announce his unexpected passing on Wednesday, September 13, 2017.

He resided in Simsbury with his wife, Jane Zacchera Kozlak. He leaves a son, Scott Kozlak and wife Tamara and a very special granddaughter, Nicole, whom he thought the world of. He also leaves behind a brother, Thomas Kozlak and his wife Margaret of Bristol, a sister, Linda Kozlak Hauch, and her husband Eric of Bristol and an Uncle, Charles Bunn of Bristol along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased in death by his father and mother, Charles and Norma Kozlak, in-laws, Michael and Jennie Zacchera, and brother-in-law, Michael ‘Mickey’ Zacchera. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Lilly.

Charlie worked for 36 years for UPS as a package driver and also was a Chief Union Steward for Local 671. He graduated from Canton High School in 1960. Charlie was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and UConn Huskies.

Per Charlie’s wishes, burial and services will be private. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY, 10018. The Vincent Funeral Home of Simsbury is caring for the arrangements.
