Condolence From: Sally Dengenis
Condolence: Dear Dave, I am so sorry to read of Bette's passing and extend to and family my deepest condolences. I always thought of Bette as a friend, she was always so supportive and kind to me, positive, and a wonderful listener, while she coped with her situation. I see her smile now, and remembering our fun visits at my shop and the Barn. I hope you are taking care. I'm fine, a little sad now, and will always remember Bette's welcoming smile. Peace & Love, Sally Dengenis

Condolence: Dave and family, I am honored and blessed to have been a part of Bette's life. She was so smart and funny and always told it like it is...whether you wanted to hear it or not. I loved that about her. She was a great lady and will be truly missed. You will always be in our hearts Bette. xoxo

Condolence: Dear Dave and family Bette was a dear friend I met on the Alaskan Daily Miner website, ten years ago. From that day forward until Bette's passing, we spoke very day via email, along with several other lovers of all things Alaska. Bette was an amazing friend, a warrior in her love of life and family and friends. She was so smart and funny. I will miss her. I recall years ago when you 2 were traveling from Florida to Connecticut you stopped in NC for lunch at Smithfield's BBQ restaurant. Bette sent me an email, "HiC what are these things on my plate that look like fingers"? I replied hushpuppies. She wrote back well they are very tasty. Rest in peace Bette my friend you are missed. Love HiC
