Charles Linn Babcock, 93, of Avon passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 2, 2017. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 71 years Wanda, his brothers, Gerald and Frank, and his sisters, Beth and Ruth. Charles ran a successful catering business for many years serving companies in the Hartford area always with a smile and a helpful hand.
He is survived by his sons, Charles L Babcock III and his wife Betty of South Glastonbury, Terrance A. Babcock and his wife Lisa of Bonita Springs and South Yarmouth, MA, and his daughter Linda Leifert and her husband Ken of Browns Mills, NJ and Enfield; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend thanks to Countryside Manor in Bristol CT, for the compassionate and sensitive caring provided to both Charles and Wanda in their final years. A brief funeral service for family and friends will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton.
