Flora E. (Thomas) Farken, 97, of Canton, died, Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Cherry Brook Health Care Center in Canton. She was born May 4, 1921 in Cheshire, daughter of the late William George and Hilda (Eckblad) Thomas and was a lifelong resident of Canton. Flora was a baker at the Roaring Brook School for 20 plus years prior to her retirement in 1980. Flora was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Avon, a Sunday School Teacher and Cub Scout Den Mother for 20 years. Flora enjoyed family and her baking. She is survived by her sons, Harold (Tina) Hackbarth of Greenbrier, TN, Michael (Nancy) Hackbarth of Bristol; four granddaughters, Melissa Hackbarth, Stephanie Morin, Jennifer Hackbarth Parks, and Julie Hackbarth; six great grandchildren, Jeremy Morin, Rachel Cartier, Brianna Morin, Katherine Cartier, Haley Grace Parks, and Samuel Cartier. She was predeceased by her first husband Harold Otto Hackbarth Sr., and second husband, Paul Farken. A private graveside service will be held in Village Cemetery in Collinsville.
