My Brother

Rob (I called him Rob - to others he was Bob, Robbie, or Robert) and I were very close as kids. We shared a room for most of our childhood, and partied together when we got older. Going to Jones Beach and the bars in New Rochelle. Then we went on to have our own families, living not close but not far either. We saw each other plenty over the years, though not as much in the last few. He always had plenty of friends and could be the life of the party, while I was more low key. Lots of fond memories over the years, and a few not so fond, like the time we had a fight on the front lawn of our childhood home. The last few years we had spirited debates about politics especially the big guy - he an unabashed fan, me not. I will miss that. I guess it all started with the fight on the front lawn. Bonded by family, but very different in so many ways. I hope he is at peace and knows he was loved by many. I will miss you big guy. Bruce Blanc
