Robert W. Magowan, 85, of Simsbury, died Thursday, (June 17, 2010) at St. Francis Hospital. He was born July 9, 1924 in New York, NY, son of the late William and Wilhemina E. (Greener) Magowan and had been a resident of Manchester and Simsbury for many years. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Military. Mr. Magowan was an Insurance Agent for Prudential Insurance for many years prior to his retirement. He is survived by his twin sister, Kathleen Magowan of Simsbury; several nieces and nephews and many close friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Clark. Funeral service will be celebrated Friday, June 25th, 12 noon at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street Simsbury. Friends may call prior to the service from 11 to 12 noon.
