Condolence: Clare is someone who I am so happy that I got a chance to know and be a part of her life. She had an incredibly warm and kind spirit. Some of my favorite memories of high school are from playing JV hockey with Clare. When I joined the team my freshman year, I was very quiet and shy, and so much about that first year of high school was uncertain and challenging. Clare had a way of making everyone around her feel included and welcome. I remember being a part of that team and get to know Clare really made me feel a part of the community. Clare always had positive things to say or ways to make everyone laugh. She quickly became a friend that I looked up to and respected. From dancing and fooling around in the locker room, to designing crazy t-shirts, or just sitting around in the old Baxter building before a late night practice, she was a friend who always brought positivity and fun into my life. She also brought incredible energy into everything she did. It showed a lot in her improving hockey skills, but more importantly in her everyday life and the relationships with the people around her. Since graduating, getting to see Clare around Simsbury was always great. Whether we just happened to run into each other or were getting coffee or breakfast, we could always pick up a conversation right where we left off. She was such a bright, friendly person --truly special-- and I will miss her very much. I am so sad to hear that she is no longer with us. My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this incredibly difficult time.

Condolence From: Simsbury Shooting Stars
Condolence: The Ulrich Family,

Clare touched all of our lives in such a special way. To honor her memory, we have gathered a few pictures that reminded us of the infectious spirit of Clare and wanted to share them with you. Below each picture is a quote from different members of our team.

We hope this slideshow provides you with the smiles, great memories, and tears of joy that we had the opportunity to know Clare, that it provided us as we thought back on our time spent with Clare growing up.

You are in our thoughts and prayers, and we are so very sorry to hear of your loss. Although Clare cannot be with us here right now, we know she will be shining above us as a shooting star for eternity.

Love Always,

The Simsbury Shooting Stars

Condolence: Siobhan,
I remember you well from years you spent growing up with Jiffi. She told me of your loss and I felt compelled to write and offer support. I know well how the shock and grief of a young woman's tragic death can cripple a mother...my wonderful daughter died unexpectedly also at the age of 23. Please know you and your family are in my thoughts, and that you WILL get through this and learn to live on the other side of this horrible event. Stay strong, as she would want you to. Sincerely, Robin

Condolence: So very sorry to hear of Clare's passing. Please find comfort by reflecting on your fond memories of Clare but more especially by reflecting on the Creator's promise to bring Clare and all of our dead loved ones back to life on a paradise earth. You can see Clare again. (Isaiah 26:19; Psalm 37:29; Revelation 21:4,5)

Condolence: Dear Siobahn, Peter, and Annie,
I was so deeply saddened to read about Clare. As her Kindergarten teacher, I remember her sparkling eyes, gentle smile, and that she loved to draw and read with her friends. In learning about her later years, Clare apparently grew up to be a remarkable young woman. There are no words to describe how sorry I am for your loss, but you all remain in my thoughts and prayers.
With deepest sympathy,
JoAnne Mitchell
