Condolence: I just recently heard the sad news of Don's passing. I had the pleasure of working with Don while at Marsh. He was witty, kind and I recall how he looked forward to doing what he loved in retirement. My sincerest condolences to his family and close friends. May he rest in eternal peace.

Condolence: I had the distinct pleasure of playing tennis with Don for several summers on the red clay. His quick wit and fine forehand will be missed. If he said the shot was out, it WAS out! We all lost something in Don's passing. "Lest we forget." Bill L.

Condolence: My heartfelt condolences to all of Don's family and friends. I had the privilege of working with Don over multiple decades. He was the consummate professional and a joy to know and work with always. He will be missed, and we are all richer for having known him.

Condolence: I had the great pleasure of spending many quality hours with Don on the tennis court, playing weekly for the last 32 years. Don's passion for skiing was shared by a few close friends which I have the great privilege of being one. I also loved discussing politics and life with such a bright and compassionate individual. Certainly glad he was a part of my life and he will be missed tremendously.

Condolence: My condolences to the Eckberg family and friends at a most difficult time. 1Corinthians 15:26 states, "the last enemy death will be brought to nothing." What a glorious time that will be. As you await the fulfillment of this promise, continue to reflect on loving memories you made along the way.

Condolence: I had the pleasure of working with Don for many years at Marsh. He was a great co worker, always happy, willing to help out with a problem and someone to learn from. We were happy for him when he retired but he has been greatly missed these last 2 years. We looked forward to his monthly visits after retirement when he came to Hartford to get his haircut. He would always stop in to visit. Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our great friend and co-worker.

Condolence: We were devastated to hear about Don's tragic passing. We ran into him at the airport about a month ago looking so happy and fulfilled in his retirement. After having worked with Don at Sedgwick and Marsh for so many years, it was good to see him so relaxed and content. Our deepest sympathy to Kathy and all Don's family and friends. He was really a spectacular guy. We will miss him and remember him fondly.

Condolence: So utterly in shock to hear of this tragedy. Don was a gentleman, pilot, broker, philosopher, trusted business partner/advisor, and friend. A rock star! I, and my team at Travelers, had the pleasure of working with Don for 15 years, and it truly was a pleasure. There is a small solace that your too-short life ended while you were doing what you loved. You will be missed but never forgotten.
