Obituary for Anne Theresa Galliot (Gresh)

Anne Theresa (Gresh) Galliot, 66, passed away on September 20, 2018 and entered into the presence of the Lord. Anne is remembered by family and friends for her humor, ready smile and kind heart. Born April 20, 1952 in Hartford, the daughter of the late Michael and Ann Gresh, she grew up in Unionville, CT. After graduating from the University of Hartford, she had a successful career in several Hartford insurance companies, becoming a certified Project Management Professional. Anne was a devoted Catholic who supported fellow communicants and charities through her work and worship. She is a member of Saint Catherine of Sienna in West Simsbury, where she leaves many friends. Anne was an artist who enjoyed drawing and painting, and she loved all animals. The deer in her backyard, the birds at her feeder and, most of all, her beloved cats delighted her. Anne enjoyed hiking, skiing and spending time outdoors and at the beach. Anne is survived by her brothers, Herbert Gresh and John Gresh, her sisters, Mary Miser and Michelle Rubirosa and her many nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews, to whom she was a doting aunt. She was predeceased by her brothers Theodore, Vernon, Robert, and Gregory. The family thanks Beth Polio and Joan Morris for their committed friendship and tireless assistance to Anne during her illness. Also thanks to the graceful and professional staff at Hartford Hospital who treated Anne with such respect and kindness. Great appreciation is also extended to the family members and friends who worked with love and diligence in assisting Anne during the final years of her life. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Catherine of Siena Church, 265 Stratton Brook Road in West Simsbury on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., followed by burial at Saint Mary's Cemetery in Avon, Connecticut. Flowers may be sent to Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury, Connecticut. Please visit Anne's "Book of Memories" at www.vincentfuneralhome.com for online condolences.
