John J. Morelli, Jr., 58, of New Britain, beloved husband of Denise (Tanuis) Morelli, died Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at New Britain General Hospital. He was born on December 24, 1959 in Torrington, the son of Olympia (Teti) Morelli of Arizona and the late John Morelli. Mr. Morelli was a Program Manager at Intercommunity, Inc. in Hartford, CT. John loved Nascar, Hiking, photography and was a NY Giants fan. He was a huge advocate in the behavioral health field and beloved by many for his passion.
In addition to his loving wife of 41 years, John is survived by his two daughters, Amber and Danielle Morelli, his siblings, Michael Morelli and his wife Diane of Eagle River, AK, Lucia (Morelli) Sczmalc and her husband Jay of Torrington, Loretta (Morelli) Garrison of Tucson, AZ and James Morelli of Torrington; his two grandchildren, Jasson Caraballo, Jr. and Keyon J. Gyambibi along with his dearest friend and close companion Eliezer Rodriguez of East Hartford and many nieces and nephews.
John’s family will receive friends at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton on Sunday, December 23rd from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. A wake service will follow, starting at 2:00 PM.
