Obituary for Helen Kilburn (Siefert)

Helen Siefert Kilburn passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 17th, 2019, just two months shy of her 100th birthday. Helen was born on Easter Sunday, April 20th, 1919. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ralph M. Kilburn and daughter, Linda Kilburn. She was the daughter of Fredrick and Wilhelmina (Mohrhoff) Siefert who are both deceased. Helen was extremely loved, which was evident in all of the people who came to her bedside or called to speak into her ear, just prior to her passing. She was surrounded by love. Helen was a graduate of Tiffin Business University in Tiffin, Ohio. She was active in many areas within the Town of Canton and her Church. She had served in all four board positions within the Collinsville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary as well as supporting the yearly Jamboree in both the food booths and in the latter years, supporting the Chairman of the Raffle Committee. She was also a member of the Cawasa Grange No. 34. She was a past member of the Canton Emergency Fuel Bank Committee, American Red Cross Bloodmobile Unit and a former volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Helen was a member of and very much loved the Canton Historical Museum as well. Each year she worked diligently on her trees to be donated to the Gallery of Trees fundraiser. She felt pure joy while working on those trees.
Helen was also predeceased by 5 brothers and one sister. She leaves behind several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
