Janet R. (Scymanski) Hucker, 95, of Avon, wife of the late Dennis Russell Hucker, died Saturday, May 25, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital. She was born December 3, 1923 in Franklin, NJ, daughter of the late John and Ella (Bath) Scymanski and had lived in Sarasota, FL prior to moving to Avon. Mrs. Hucker was a Legal Bookkeeper for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the American Legion, and Wallkill Country Club in Franklin, NJ and the Bobby Jones Golf Club in Sarasota, FL. In addition to golf, Janet enjoyed tennis and swimming.

She is survived by her son, Wayne Lee Hucker and his wife Dale of Simsbury; her daughters, Denise Janet Wood and her husband Tom of Murphy, NC and Linda Sue Wright of Bishop, CA; her grandchildren, Nealy Lynn Martin and her husband Robert of Simsbury, Ryan Lee Hucker and his wife Elizabeth of Simsbury, Michael Wood and his wife Michelle of Bradenton, FL and Michele Wood of Murphy, NC and seven great grandchildren.
