Obituary for Anna Pomaski

Anna M. Pomaski, 95, of Canton, wife of the late Leonard R. Pomaski, died Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Cherry Brook Health Care Center in Canton. She was born August 23, 1923 in Unionville, daughter of the late John and Susan Yuhas and graduated from Farmington High School. She lived in Burlington prior to moving to Canton over 60 years ago. She was a devoted wife and mother often involved in baking for school and other local events. She worked at Waring Manufacturing for several years and later assisted as bookkeeper in her son’s business, Pomaski Tool and Manufacturing Company. Anna was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Collinsville.

She is survived by her daughter, Arleen Pomaski and sons, Leonard and Donald, all of Canton and her sister, Mary Kramer of Avon. The family would like to thank the staff at Cherry Brook Health Care Center for their wonderful, loving care of our mother during the last year of her life and during her final illness.

Friends may call at Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton on Wednesday, August 7th from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM followed by a procession to St. Patrick’s Church in Collinsville for an 11:00 AM Funeral Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
