Obituary for Jeanette Sandra Miller
Jeanette Miller passed in her home on Saturday, April 25, 2020 in her sleep. She raised six children and was blessed with nine grandchildren: John James married to Sherry James parents of Sara, Braxton and Delena; Patty Wallace married to Bob Wallace, parents of Bobby and Paige; Lori Mudge married to Michael Mudge, parents of John “JJ”; LaWanda Miller parent of Marneisha Johnson; Stacy Rios married to Eddie Rios parents of Sean Rickard and Logan Rios, and Raymond Miller.
To know her was to know that she believed in hard work and to always rise to a challenge. She worked in a number of positions to support her family over the years and prior to her retirement, she worked for the Herkimer County Department of Social Services where she met several individuals that she cherished as friends. Her life was an example of dedication and a giving spirit that she passed on to her children.
She enjoyed simple pleasures, staying connected with her family, a good meal and Bingo, many times not even to win, but because she enjoyed the experience as a whole. She embraced new experiences as well. She loved to go out to a variety of shows including Broadway productions, Ballet, Cirque du Soleil - really anything that was an opportunity to enjoy the artistry and skill of the performers. She also was bit by the travel bug. She loved to go to new places and embraced the beauty and culture.
She is now embraced in God’s eternal love surrounded by her family and friends that went before her. We are comforted knowing that she is at peace. She will be missed.
