Robert Richard Dube of Simsbury, Connecticut passed away in the comfort of his home on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the age of 87. Bob was predeceased by his older sister Eleanor Dube Kachadoorian. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy Dube, his daughters Michelle Dube and Lesley Dube Fronio, son-in-law Jason Fronio, granddaughter Samantha Fronio, grandson Zachary Fronio, and several nieces and nephews.

Bob and Eleanor were raised in Worcester, Massachusetts by Armand Dube and Hilda Erickson Dube. Bob was a UCONN Husky, playing on both basketball and baseball teams, and he remained a loyal fan throughout the rest of his life. He graduated in 1956, after which he served in the United States Army. Upon his discharge, Bob returned to the Hartford area, where he balanced his time between family, career, and his many friends who shared his love of playing sports, including basketball, golf, and tennis.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 4th at St. Mary’s Church, 942 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury. Burial will follow in Simsbury Cemetery.
