Lawrence Michael Reilley, 78, of Simsbury, beloved husband of Kathleen (Moran) Reilley, died Saturday, March 27, 2021 after a long battle with dementia. He was born September 8, 1942 in Youngstown, OH, son of the late Lawrence Ward and Mary Catherine (Lobingier) Reilley and had lived in Akron, OH prior to moving to Simsbury over 40 years ago. Mike was a graduate of St. Vincent College in Latrove, PA, Class of 1964, having received his Bachelors Degree in Business. Mr. Reilley was an Assistant Vice President of Corporate Claims at the Hartford Insurance in Hartford Plaza for many years prior to his retirement in 2009. He was a devoted parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church in West Simsbury having been a member of the Small Christian Community, the Men’s Club in which he headed the Annual Leaf Raking Event and he and Kathy were servers for Daily Mass and at Funerals. He was also a Sacristan of the Saint Joseph Archdiocesan Medal of Appreciation. Mike enjoyed spending time outdoors finishing, golfing and bike riding and was a member of the Metacon Gun Club for many years.

In addition to his wife of 57 years, he is survived by his children, Noreen Czepiel and husband Thomas of Old Saybrook, Michael Reilley and his wife Jennifer of Bristol, Maureen Reilley of Old Saybrook and Daniel Reilley of Simsbury; his brother, Thomas Reilley and wife Patricia of Youngstown, OH; his grandchildren, Mary Kate Czepiel, Brigid Ann Czepiel and Aiden Patrick Reilley and a nephew, Sean Reilley.

Mike’s family will receive friends during walkthrough visitation on Monday, April 5th from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church in West Simsbury. Burial will follow in Simsbury Cemetery.
