Obituary for Robert Edward Cylkowski

Robert Edward “Bobby” Cylkowski, 68, of Simsbury, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021. He was born on August 8, 1952 in Hartford and was the beloved son of Elizabeth “Bette” Cylkowski and the late WWII Veteran, Edward Joseph Cylkowski.  Bobby lived in Collinsville most of his life prior to moving to Simsbury. He was a 1970 graduate of Canton High School. As a youngster, Bobby enjoyed Little League pitching and going fishing. He owned a tree trimming business and spent his free time proudly raising his vegetable gardens. He loved watching the ‘ball games’, both football and baseball.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, Ronald Cylkowski of Granby, his sisters, Susan Bartlett of Granby, Cindy Gebhardt of Virginia, and Sharon Cylkowski of Simsbury.  His is also survived by his nephew Paul Bartlett and his niece, Nicole Cylkowski. In addition to his father, Bobby was predeceased by his brother, Edward Joseph “Joey” Cylkowski, Jr. and his two nephews, Ronald Cylkowski, Jr. and Thomas “Tom” Cylkowski.

Private inurnment will be in the Sycamore Mausoleum at the Simsbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
