Obituary for Christopher Edward Ferrigno

Christopher Edward Ferrigno, “Chris”, aged 23, of Barkhamsted, CT passed away suddenly on Saturday May 1, 2021. Christopher was a graduate of Northwestern Regional 7 High School class 2016 and of Kildonan School in Amenia, NY in 2007. He attended elementary school at Ann Antolini and Bakersfield Schools in New Hartford, CT. Christopher furthered his education at Lincoln Technical Institute where he graduated on the Dean’s list with a degree in Welding Technology. His employment history includes Jeannine Fundraisers and Hurd Enterprise both in New Hartford. Chris was currently employed at East Coast Lightning LLC and had recently been promoted for his outstanding efforts to the title of Project Manager. Born March 16, 1998, he enjoyed swimming, biking, riding quads, and exploring the outdoors from an early age. He played for New Hartford baseball always hoping for just one out of the park home run. Christopher played first baseman, pitcher, and was an outstanding catcher. He loved spending time with friends and family. Playing pranks and acting goofy kept his friends and family always on the lookout for his next prank! His can-do attitude was infectious. Chris was always quick to lend a hand, wherever needed to assure the people around him achieved the things they needed. Chris also had a special love and patience for children and animals. Christopher was an ambitious young adult and achieved many things in his short time here with us. He received his boating and jet ski license as well as his motorcycle license before the age of 18. Chris also received his pistol permit in 2020 and had a great skill for understanding and appreciating machinery. His greatest passions were working with his hands, building and fixing, exploring the outdoors, camping, dirt biking, shooting and especially riding on his quad and Harley. Christopher’s extremely hard working, motivated, and ambitious nature fueled his passion for riding, and was never freer than when he was on his toys.

Christopher’s surviving family includes his mother, Paige Maguda; his father, Mark Ferrigno; his sister, Mikalah Ferrigno; his maternal aunt and uncle, Karen (Mama Ten) and Scott Bauer; his cousin, Alexandra (Bob) Bauer; his paternal grandfather, Edward Maguda; his paternal grandmother and grandfather, Nicholas and Jacqueline Ferrigno; his Chocolate Lab, Sheldon Ferrigno. Christopher also leaves behind several close aunts, cousins and friends who were like family! Christopher was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Gerrie Maguda and his maternal great grandmother (Babci) Alexandra (Hellen) Maguda.
