Obituary for Dana Marie Ouellette

Dana Marie Ouellette, of Levittown, PA formerly of New Hartford, CT, passed away on August 2, 2021 at the age of 41. She was an intelligent, funny, beautiful woman whose smile could light up a room, with her easy laugh that would put everyone at ease. In the end, she finally found the peace that eluded her in life. She spent her final moments surrounded by and holding the hands of her parents and sister.

While Dana fought addiction throughout her life, it did not define who she was. She devoted her life to ensuring the physical health of many young people. She was a much-loved Physical Education teacher in Litchfield, CT and at LifeWorks in Pennsylvania. Through her struggles, she managed to find peace when at the beach or days fishing. It wasn’t uncommon to find her walking her devoted furry pal, Brodie.

In addition to her mother and father, David and Donna (Defranzo) Ouellette of Avon, Dana leaves her sister, Dawn and her husband Christopher Judson and daughter, Madison. She is survived by her paternal grandparents, Edmund and Winnie Ouellette along with her maternal grandfather, George Defranzo. Dana was predeceased by her grandmother, Janet Defranzo. She leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that will all miss her dearly. All are devastated by the senseless loss of such a beautiful soul.

The family wishes to thank all the dedicated nurses and doctors who made Dana as comfortable as possible on her journey. A very special thank you to the two nurses who went above and beyond to locate the family.

Services will be at the Lourdes Shrine in Litchfield on September 4, 2021 at 1:00 PM. Please visit Dana’s “Book of Memories” at www.vincentfuneralhome.com for online tributes.
