Obituary for Elaine Preisser Aube (Preisser)

Elaine Preisser Aube, age 87, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, December 18, 2021. Elaine was born and raised in New Britain, CT and spent most of her adult life raising her family in Monroe, CT and in retirement in Eastham, MA. Most recently she resided in Bloomfield, CT. Elaine worked for many years in the defense industry, primarily working for Sikorsky Aircraft, but her time was truly devoted to raising her three children with her husband Georges. Elaine and Georges loved the shore, particularly the beaches of Cape Cod where they brought their children for many summer vacations. For a brief period of retirement, she and Georges retired to South Carolina, always looking for a new adventure and a place to explore. Elaine was raised with her two sisters who she adored and lived close to her oldest sister Dolores until her passing. Elaine loved to garden, play bridge, dance and bake (her cheesecake was legendary). Her mischievous sense of humor was something the whole family experienced time and again. She was preceded in death by Georges, her devoted husband of 55 years, her parents, Gustaf and Bernice Preisser, and her sisters Lois Roth and Dolores Visconti. She is survived by her son Rene and his wife Michelle and their three children Paul, Nathan and Maegan, son Marc and his wife Michelle, daughter Denice (Aube) Brandon and her husband Kevin and their three daughters Sarah, Kimberly and Erin. Elaine was dearly loved by her family and friends and we will forever miss her laughter and good spirit. Private family services will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Borne, MA where Elaine will be laid to rest beside her husband Georges. If you would like to make a donation in her memory, Elaine was a life long supporter of our National Parks and would encourage all to preserve them for future generations.
