Obituary for Ronald Gutfran

Ronald Berne Gutfran, 77, of West Simsbury, beloved husband of Dolores (Pedemonti) Gutfran, died Sunday, March 27, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 31, 1944 in Hartford, son of the late Edward F. and Berne (Sadowski) Gutfran, and was a lifelong resident of Simsbury. He studied Marketing at Central Connecticut State University. Mr. Gutfran was a successful Real Estate Investor for many years prior to his retirement. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church in West Simsbury and the Knights of Columbus Bishop John J. Nilan Council No. 2758. Ron enjoyed traveling, spending time at his Adirondack (Blue Mountain Lake) house fishing, and hunting. He instilled this love of nature and traveling in his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his loving wife of 53 years, Ron is survived by his daughters, Corinne Snyder and husband Stephen of Denver, CO; Jean Marie Gutfran and husband Anthony Tarnowski, Jr. of Charlestown, RI; Rebecca Soto and husband Marcus of Essex, NY and Kayla Gutfran of West Simsbury; his son, Edward Gutfran and wife Rochelle of West Simsbury; his grandchildren, Mason and Tobin Snyder, Malia and Skylar Tarnowski, Lilliana Soto and Alexander and Zoe Gutfran and his cousins, Joan Lucco of Ellicott City, Maryland, and Richard Ross. He was predeceased by his brother, Philip Gutfran of The Village of Lynne Haven, FL.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 30th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 31st, at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 265 Stratton Brook Road in West Simsbury. Burial and reception to follow.
