James Quentin Vose, 92, of Canton, beloved husband of Harriet (Petty) Vose, died Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at John Dempsey Hospital. He was born February 20, 1930 in Niagara Falls, NY, son of the late Richard Shepard and Helen (Delap) Vose and had lived in Canton for the past 57 years. He was a graduate of the University of Florida. While there, he also earned his private pilot license. Mr Vose was a Systems Analyst for Phoenix Mutual Life Insurance prior to his retirement. He enjoyed time with family, square dancing, and spending time out doors bicycling, hiking, sailing, and rollerblading.

In addition to his loving wife of 57 years, he is survived by his sons, Jesse Vose and wife Jill Bodossian of Fairfield and David Vose and wife Jennifer of Springfield, MA and his grandchildren, Gilbert and Daisy Vose. He was predeceased by his brother, Richard Vose.

A memorial service will be celebrated at the First Congregational Church of Canton Center on Wednesday, October 26th at 11:00 am. Burial will be private.
