Obituary for Robert Edmond Jobin

Robert Edmond Jobin, 75, of West Simsbury, CT beloved husband of Karen (Crane) Jobin passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 30th, 2022. He was born May 9th, 1947 in Torrington, son of the late Edmond Eugene Jobin and Sadie (Michalosky) Jobin. He was a graduate of Providence College and then served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. After a long career in finance, Bob retired to enjoy more time with his family. He enjoyed all sports, especially the UConn Women's Basketball team and the Boston Red Sox. He was a member of St. Mary's Church where he sang with the church choir for many years.

In addition to his loving wife of 54 years, he is survived by his daughters, Laura Newton and husband Douglas of Northborough MA and Aimee Jobin of West Simsbury; his sister Cynthia Tillman and husband Edward of Monkton MD; his niece Michelle Tillman and his grandchildren Emma Newton and Michael Newton.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Wednesday, December 7th at St. Mary's Church, 942 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury. Burial will follow at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield. The Vincent Funeral home in Simsbury is taking care of the arrangements.
