Marlene A. (Hoey) Dennis, 86, of Canastota, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 with family at her side in West Simsbury, CT. She was born January 10, 1936 in Syracuse, NY, the youngest daughter of Steven and Mary J. (Moulton) Hoey. She married her high school sweetheart, Richard L. Dennis and they shared 55 happy years together. Marlene worked for many years at the Addis CO., and AT&T as a Customer Service Representative for Business. A devoted grandmother, she loved attending all of her grandchildren’s musicals, dance and sporting events. Marlene loved attending St. Catherine of Siena Church in West Simsbury, CT while living with her daughter Mary Beth. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

She is survived by her children, Denise (Parker) Stone, Richard (Sherry) Dennis and Mary Beth (Bill) Bonnell; her grandchildren, Parker, Brandon, Alexis, Samantha, Paige, Marissa, William and Katherine. She was predeceased by her brother, Stephen Hoey.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 17th at Blessed Sacrament Church, 3127 James Street in Syracuse, NY. In lieu of flowers, Marlene requested that you simply keep her in your prayers.
