Obituary for Jeffrey Richard Anderson

Jeffrey Richard Anderson, 38, beloved youngest son of Hugh and Marcia (Chamberlain) Anderson of New Hartford, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022, fifty-five days after sustaining serious injuries in a car accident. Jeff was born on August 15, 1984, and enjoyed an adventurous childhood. He was active in New Hartford Youth Baseball and Soccer, and Cub Scouts. In his teenage years, Jeff loved to go skateboarding, rollerblading, and snowboarding. At age 14, he was confirmed as a member of the First Congregational Church of Canton Center where he was active in youth groups and participated in service projects. After high school, Jeff became a home improvement contractor in the Norwich area, specializing in roofing, siding and windows. He worked with great firms and became friends with their owners. Jeff was also active in Norwich area AA chapters where he also made lifelong friends. After a few years, Jeff branched out and established his own business, Precise Contracting. There was no trade he wouldn't learn and no task he couldn't master. Those who worked with Jeff knew he was hard working and reliable. He was meticulous in his work and took great pride in it. Jeff was a loyal friend, always available to jump in for the heavy lifting on side projects. Most recently Jeff worked as a lead installer for CT Cellar Door.

In addition to his parents, Jeff leaves his son, Hayden Anderson and mother Jessica Chartier of Sprague, his brother, Michael Anderson of New Hartford, his paternal grandmother, Janice Anderson of Farmington, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by paternal grandfather Richard Anderson, maternal grandparents Sherwood and Arlene Chamberlain, Aunt Lois Hinners, and more recently by his brother Tom, who left us in January 2021.

A service of remembrance for Jeff and Tom will be held on Saturday, January 14th at 1:00 at the First Congregational Church of Canton Center, 184 Cherry Brook Road in Canton Center, with a reception in the parish hall following. Donations may be made to New Hartford Volunteer Ambulance, PO Box 1, New Hartford CT 06057. Please visit Jeff's "Book of Memories" at www.vincentfuneralhome.com for online tributes.
