Obituary for Frances M. Brucker

On March 24, 2023, Frances Marie Brucker passed away peacefully. Frances was born in New York City and brought up in Park Place in Brooklyn until she was 16 at which time her family moved to Canton, Connecticut to her Grandfather’s Peter Mahan Farm. She attended and graduated from the Academy of the Holy Family in Baltic Connecticut and returned to Canton where she met and married her loving husband Lewis Brucker. She was employed by Hartford Fire Insurance and also worked for Lord and Taylor for 25 years. Frances was extremely kind and compassionate and always put the needs of her family and others above her own. She was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother and dedicated her life to her family’s welfare and well being. Her son is so thankful that the good Lord blessed him with a wonderful Mother and role model who passed on the values of being a responsible and loving parent for which he will be forever grateful.

Her husband Lewis passed away in 1978. She is survived by a devoted son, Lynn Lewis Brucker, his wife Sherry of Canton, grandchildren, William Adam Brucker, and his wife Kim of Vernon, Alicia Maranah Dehey and her husband Ben of Colebrook and 4 great grandsons who were the joy of her life. Adam, Owen, Cooper and Cole will carry on her legacy of kindness and compassion to others.

The family also wishes to thank the staff at Avon Health Center and Farmington Valley Visiting Nurse Association for their wonderful care and support for Mrs. Brucker and the family.
