Obituary for Yanning Bosso

Yanning (Jiang) “Diana” Bosso, 57, of Simsbury, beloved wife of Alexander Bosso, died Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at her home. She was born November 4, 1965 in Nanjing, China, daughter of Lu QiuXia and the late Jiang ShiZhong and had lived in Fort Myers, FL prior to moving to Simsbury seven years ago. She received her Associates Degree in Business Administration having been one of the first groups of Chinese graduates to work in the Guangdong Province Economic Development Projects with foreign companies. Yanning had worked on the Daya Bay Nuclear Power Project and most recently was the Office Manager at IHS Alexander, Inc. for many years. She was a member of the Chinese Baptist Church of Greater Hartford in Bloomfield. Yanning was a talented and accomplished chef of international cuisines.

In addition to her loving husband, she leaves her children, Martin Jiang Smith, Anna Ciccolini and husband Darren of Cary, NC, Louis Bosso and wife Katherine of Webster Groves, MO and Allie Bosso of Cary, NC; her siblings, Jiang MingWei and wife Ling JiaJing and Yanming Lindsey; her grandchildren, Rocco and Marco Ciccolini and Susanna and Evelyn Bosso and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her first husband, Joseph Michael Smith.

Calling hours will be held at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury on Tuesday, April 11th from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM closing with a celebration of her life at 1:30 PM.
