She was born December 14, 1932 in Hartford, daughter of the late Antonio and Antoinette (LaCava) Pizzoli Lucy graduated from Weaver High School in 1951, and she attended many reunions to reconnect with high school friends. Lucy lived in Simsbury for over 50 years, truly loving the rural nature of her neighborhood. She loved being outdoors, walking in the sun or snow. Her favorite time of year was the fall when humidity was absent, and the nights were cool.
Lucy deeply loved animals and supported various related causes. As a volunteer she helped AFOC with fundraising efforts and sponsored cats in their care. Lucy also participated in many Fidelco walkathons.

Lucy enjoyed spending time reading, swimming and cross-country skiing. Lucy also enjoyed dressing up to go dancing with her friends. She attended nearly all the Sunset Sound Concerts when Cigna was Connecticut General. She was also a longtime volunteer usher at the Bushnell and the Hartford Stage. Lucy traveled later in life to Spain, Italy, Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico, Australia, and the Galapagos Islands. She traveled with a spirit of adventure, embarking on activities never tried before.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Simsbury. Her Catholic faith was very important to her.

She is survived by her daughters, Denise and Lisa Temperilli of Simsbury, and several beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Sgt. Joseph Temperilli, her twin brother, Rocco; her sisters, Anna Lozier, Rosemary DeVito and Camille Decker and her former husband, Joseph Temperilli.
