Obituary for Mary Lou LeBlanc

Mary Lou LeBlanc
Mary Lou (Bragdon) LeBlanc, 84, wife of the late Roland W. LeBlanc, passed away Friday, August 3, 2012 after an extended illness. Born in Auburn, Maine to the late Mary (Lawless) Osgood & Ernest Bragdon, and pre-deceased by her siblings, Bernice Baxter, Theresa (Pat) Miller , Kenneth and Donald Bragdon. She leaves behind a son, William LeBlanc, and a granddaughter, Lindsay Leblanc, of South Portland, ME; her loving daughter, Karen Grady of Simsbury, as well as her grandchildren, Thomas Grady, Daniel Grady and wife Michelle, Elizabeth Bourne and her husband Dave. She also leaves two great-grandchildren, Delilah and David, and a step great-granddaughter, Caitlynn. After the family moved to Connecticut, Mary Lou worked outside the home in the late 50’s and 60’s in various clerical positions. In her “retirement” years, she was a receptionist at Governors House in Simsbury. Her greatest joy was in caring for her family and enjoying her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She shared her love of sewing, handcrafts, baking and reading and loved playing board games and cards with them. Most Saturdays she could be found scouring the tag sales for a great bargain. Mary Lou will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. A special thank-you to the staff of Governors House and the Farmington Valley VNA, who cared for her in her time of need. No calling hours. Memorial services will be at the convenience of the family. Vincent Funeral Home of Simsbury is caring for the arrangements. Please visit Mary Lou’s “Book of Memories” at www.vincentfuneralhome.com for online condolences.
