Mike was one of the kids my Dad chaperoned at Nature's Classroom back in middle school. Apparently my Dad worked hard to persuade Mike to stop exiting their wood cabin through its windows, and to use the door
instead. A decade later I ran into Mike during a summer with Canton EMS and he shared one of his mischievous smiles as he recounted how he gave my Dad a hard time during that field trip. On the ambulance, I remember Mike showed a supernatural ability to communicate with a confused elderly patient at the Cherry Brook Nursing Home. She didn't listen to anyone else who was there, it was as if she could hear only him. Mike you made an impression even when people briefly crossed your path.
