Franklyn C. Wynne
Franklyn C. Wynne of Barkhamsted, husband of Beth (Ronaldes) Wynne, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 with his family by his side. Born in Hartford on January 22, 1933, he was the son of the late Franklyn and Elizabeth (Patience) Wynne. He spent many a happy times growing up at Secret Lake in Avon and had graduated from Canton High School, Class of 1952. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran, having served during the Korean War. He had his own company, FC Wynne Machinery in Canton for many years and was very proud to serve on the Pleasant Valley Fire Department. Frank was a passionate fisherman during his time in Rangeley, ME and had enjoyed hunting in Vermont. As a jack-of-all-trades, he loved to stay busy and could fix anything. Most of all, he loved to laugh and tell a good joke. He truly lived life his way. Besides his wife Beth, he leaves his daughters, Cathrin Whyte and her husband Steve Hansen, Traci Puhalski and Elizabeth “Liza” Wynne; his son, Sean Wynne; his sister, Elizabeth “BettyLee” Clark; his grandchildren, Demian LaChance, Stefen Lachance, Colin Whyte, Kira Puhalski, Shea Hansen, Dustin Puhalski, Jesse Lovetere, Dominic Wynne and Kolu Wynne, as well as six great grandchildren. Please join us at La Trattoria Restaurant in Canton on Sunday, November 1st at 2:00 PM to celebrate Frank’s life. Private burial will be in Dyer Cemetery in Canton at the convenience of the family.
