It is with the deepest sadness that the Zacchera family announces the passing of our beloved Michael Zacchera, Jr. 61, of Simsbury. He died unexpectedly of a cerebral hemorrhage while hunting in Wyoming on October 4, 2007. He was born in Hartford to the late Michael and Jennie (Bonczek) Zacchera of Simsbury. Michael was the beloved husband of Lynette (Fabrocini) Zacchera and father of children, Michael, Todd, Nichol and Joseph Zacchera. He will also be missed by his seven grandchildren, Alexis, Cameron, Michael, Preston, Sophie, Jane and Benjamin, who will remember him as the "best grandpa in the world." Mickey is also survived by his sister Jane (Zacchera) Kozlak and her husband Charles, their son Scott and many other cousins and family members. Mickey was an avid sportsman, enjoying hunting and fishing and he leaves many friends who will miss him dearly. He was employed at Rotondo & Sons, Precast for many years. He was well known for his Christmas Parties, and Sunday Dinners. Mickey was a kind and generous man. He was also an excellent craftsman, who built his own house in New York, where he enjoyed time with his friends and family. His family would like to invite all who knew him to the Bloomfield Fish and Game Club on Saturday, October 13, 2007 from 1 - 8 p.m. for a celebration of his life, please dress informally. The Zacchera family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Raymond Nagy for his friendship, compassion, and strength as well as for being with Mickey during his time of need. We love you and can never thank you enough.
