Lorraine “”Rainy” (Smith) Erickson, 84, of East Hill Road, Canton, wife of the late Clifford L. Erickson, died Monday, September 24, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford. She was born February 10, 1928 to the late Harold and Marcella (Brooks) Smith. She lived and was raised by Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hoffmann of East Hill Road, Canton.
She is survived by her daughter, Marcella Winn of Canton; her son, Ralph Erickson of Vermont; her granddaughter, Jennifer Ferrera and her husband Michael of North Carolina; and her brother, Phillip Smith and his wife Alberta of New York. She was predeceased by her brother and sister. A memorial service will be celebrated at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton on Saturday, September 29th at 12:00 PM. Friends may call prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Burial will be in Southwest Cemetery, Collinsville. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook Street, I-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
