The Zacchera Family said their good-byes to a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, Libera “Lee” (Bilesimo) Zacchera, 101, of Old Canton Road, Canton, Tuesday, November 06, 2007 at Cherry Brook Health Care Center. She will be deeply missed and her memory will be ours forever. Lee was born July 24, 1906 in Fonzazo, Italy, daughter of the late Luigi and Maria (Furlin) Bilesimo, and came to America at age five, and had lived in Woronoco, MA. She worked at the Ethel Walker School, Miss Porter School and the Avon Diner. She married John Zacchera and they raised their family in Avon. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Eleanor Zacchera of Canton; a brother, John Bilesimo of West Springfield, MA; a sister, Angela Falcone of Springfield, MA; three grandchildren and their spouses, Deborah and Russell Theus, Karen and David Duff and John and Nancy Zacchera; three great grandchildren, Nicole Zacchera Laflamme, Angela Zacchera and Zachery Duff; one great great granddaughter, Enna Laflamme and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John; step-mother, Maria Macagan, two sisters, Mary and Louise and a brother, Tony. Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike, Canton, Thursday, November 8, 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral will be Friday, November 9, 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, Collinsville. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Avon. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation, Inc., 103 Old Iron Ore Road, Bloomfield, CT 06002 or to The Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Joseph’s Residence, 1365 Enfield Street, Enfield, 06082-4900. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Cherry Brook, Second Floor for all their kindness and care. Special thanks to Pat Danilla Jones for all the loving care she gave to Lee.
