Sharon A. (Carbo) Zysk, 62, of Atwater Road, Collinsville, died Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Cherry Brook Health Care Center, Canton. She was born December 16, 1946 in New Britain, daughter of the late Michael and Stacia (Nixer) Carbo and had lived in Kensington prior to moving to Collinsville where she lived for 37 years. She was a graduate of Central Connecticut State University, Class of 1969, where she received her Masters Degree in Elementary Education. Mrs. Zysk was a Teacher at Thalberg in Southington for 24 years prior to her retirement in 2004. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Collinsville and the Connecticut Quarter Horse Association.

She is survived by her son, Robert A. Zysk of Collinsville; her former husband, Robert J. Zysk of Newington; a sister-in-law Gail Carbo of Moodus; nephews, Dennis Carbo, Jr. of Killingworth and Daniel Carbo of East Haddam. She was predeceased by her brother, Dennis Carbo of Colchester.

There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, November 4, 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 7 Burlington Avenue, Collinsville. Burial will be on Wednesday, November 4, 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1309 Stanley Street, New Britain.
